Utah Dedicated Hunter Charge 1/25

I got dinged for $180 today on my credit card and the charge says, "DED HUNTER". I'm guessing that means I drew the dedicated hunter but the results are not available yet on the DWRs website. Has anyone else been seeing any charges yet? I wasn't even going to apply again because of the new 40 service hour deal but I just couldn't bring myself to sit it out. I'm not sure why I bothered, heck I haven't shot a buck in a general season unit here in UT since 2003. Who knows, maybe I'll luck out and find that needle in the haystack!

I like the dedicated hunter program, the 40 hours weren't bad. I welded for most of it in my shop so it wasn't bad at all. Then I took the steps out and set them for walk in access areas.

I know changes are coming, I at least hope they are going to keep it to a three year program and make us draw our unit only each year we are eligable.

Yup got hit yesterday. I am just glad the program is not going away (yet) with the new units.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-25-11 AT 11:10PM (MST)[p]Can't imagine anyone who wants in not getting in. Most guys I know who this was their last year dropped it like a hot potato, myself included. No way I was going to re-up not knowing what's in store for 2012/2013. The way I read the latest handbook you're not guaranteed a tag (in your area of choice) in the DH Program after 2011, and they basically say if they change the rules/regulations/hours/length of program mid-stride, you're SOL with no refunds and no credit for service hours already completed.

Too many unanswered questions for me to sink the time and money into it again, but I wish the best for those who are willing to take the chance.
