Have to wait till tomorrow.. That is my last hope as my email inbox is empty tonight. I drew the VC last year and had a great time.. Hoping lightning will strike Twice!!

When I had given up all hope...I just had to look @ midnight to make sure. And to my amazement I DREW A VALLES CALDERA archery bull tag.

I screamed at 12:01 am the loudest I've ever done before. My wife almost freaked!!

I've driven by there for nearly 20 years, wishing and hoping.

Wow, I guess it pays to try! Thank you God!

Yes I drew a nonresident nonguided mature bull tag for the first rifle hunt. I am in shock. What are the odds? I dont know what to do next. Im already loosing sleep. lol

OK...all you VC vets, where is the best place to camp next to the Valles Caldera?

Primitive prefered, but maybe campground.

I know about the La Cueva Lodge, but money is pretty tight this year. Great place, but I can't afford it.

There are two camogrounds Jemez Falls and Redondo campgrounds along highway 4 that's closer to the VC. Both are located on the southend of the VC boundaries.

Some folks also camp in the forest south of highway 4. I have heard of people having issues with "unwnated visitors" while they were out hunting however. I suppose that happens all over though. Congrats on your tag!
