Was wondering if anywone was willing to give a few pointers on hunting the Vernon. Have been out scouting a few weekends now and havent seen much. Have they migrated in yet, or are they low on privit property?

I had the tag in 2008. I was seeing bucks in the begining of May in the same spots they were in during the hunt. Just keep scouting and you'll eventually find them. It takes a lot of hard work if your going to hunt the Sheeprocks. Hike, Hike, Hike, that's all I'm gonna say.

I was out there for a week looking it over. A lot of the deer are in there areas where you will find them in your hunt. It looks like you will have a fun year out there. I saw a little more deer this year then I have the past few. Size of the bucks will be in question.
