Got home from Bear hunting last night and thought I would share some of the video with you guys. This was in the Nine Mile Anthro/Range Creek unit. It was my first bear hunt, and my first hunt with dogs, damn they are loud, but I don't know how anybody would hunt Bear here in Utah without them. Nice video Tony. Was it a long chase? Some bears can run a long ways.

Rack, I think you're thinking about during an open deer season? Only one dog per hunter at that time.

Not too long of a chase, maybe an hour or so. I was happy to get this Bear, I only had one more day to stay and hunt. KKK, I came in from the Wellington side, so I didn't have to, errrrr, I mean get to go through the basin Yes, the .454 hits hard, did massive damage to both shoulders and lungs, he was dead when he hit the ground.

sweet!!! Congrats! You are drawing tags everywhere these days. So you went with the Raging bull? That is cool. I am jealous, someday I will draw with all my 7 points. Hearing those dogs brings back memories.

I am in Idaho today for my sister's wedding, went out this morning with my cousin hunting turkeys and we got one!! It was amazing, never been was fun. Got it all on video, I'll have to post.

Thanks guys. It was the coloring that really sold me on that Bear, he isn't very big at about 5'6", but he will make a beautiful rug. I highly recommend the guys that took me, they really know their Bears, and dogs too!
