LAST EDITED ON Feb-17-15 AT 11:35AM (MST)[p]Hey guys, first time poster here, but I've been a reader of this forum for a while now.
I am the President of goHUNT.com, and I wanted to post to share this short film that I recently produced and thought some readers of this forum would enjoy since I know me and my hunting buddies got so excited when we heard about it. Im happy to see a forum go'er has already found the film and posted it to MM.
Just a little backstory -
I wanted to reach out to Brett and make this film because I know how I would personally feel if the same situation happened to me. I've been hunting since I was able to walk and harvesting deer since the age of 12, and I know a deer like this is what we dream about each season. After speaking with Brett, I got the sense that the story behind this unlikely hunter killing this possibly record breaking deer would make for an interesting film, and you never really hear about what happens after the hunt is over. During the filming of this, I spent 4 days with Brett and his family in Grand Junction, Colorado and got to hear how his life has been changing as result of this hunt and some of the interesting situations that go into being a part of a historic kill like this. For example, Brett had insurance companies determining what it would cost to insure the antlers, which I think most of us wouldn't have ever thought about, but for Brett it has to be a realistic consideration.
I wanted to jump on here and make myself available to answer any questions you guys might have or anything you would like to know about the making of the film.
Looking forward to talking about this with you guys.
Let me know what you guys think of it -
Lorenzo
