Back in 2007 a buddy and I entered the World Coyote Calling Championship which was held that year in Williams Arizona. During the orientation the contest organizer said that volunteer coyotes were legal to be entered into the contest.
Not knowing what that meant I asked what a volunteer coyote would be and he explained that any coyote that wasn’t called but presented itself for a shot was a volunteer.
Years later I killed a pretty big buck in Idaho that definitely fit the volunteer description along with a few others.
How about it, anyone else been gifted with a volunteer big game animal?
