Vortex Viper HD or Razor HD

Viper - 80mm $1000 msrp
Razor - 85mm $2000 msrp

Big difference in my mind. Viper is a great scope, but when you get into digiscoping (photos and video through the scope) and glassing in low-light conditions, the Razor would excel quite a bit.

Special thanks to Doug and the crew at Cameraland.

LAST EDITED ON May-04-12 AT 04:47PM (MST)[p]Well the Razor it is. I have $1,320 put away so far...almost there :)

What is the MM discount on cameraland website? am I eligible?

If you have the cash, go Razor all the way. I have one and it is fantastic. You will never be disappointed buying the best quality product that you can afford.

Just ordered the Razor HD from Camera Land and got the tripod for a $.01 more :) ...... now it is the agony of waiting for it to come in the mail.

I have Zen-Ray ED2 82mm spotting scope. Have personally compared it to Vortex Razor HD. They are essentially the same product. $1000 vs $1600.

I had the spotter being delivered to my office, I figured someone would always be here. Well FedEx tried to deliver on Saturday and no one was here, they rescheduled for a Tuesday delivery, I am like a little kid on chrismtas eve!!
