Leupold VXIII 4.5-14x40 with Boone and Crockett reticle.

Vortex Viper 6x20x44 with the BDC reticle.

Hey guys, I am looking into these two scopes and wondered your input on which one I should go with to top my 300 WSM. I don't think that I really need the 20x, however their next step down is 12x and I want more than that for sure. Both companies have very good warranties and that is very big with me. So give me your info of which scope to buy and why.

Thanks for your time guys, and thanks for helping me make my choice.

I was looking at the same 2 scopes, but also the Zeiss Rapid Z 600. I ended up with the Zeiss for less than the Leupold.

I got the Zeiss Rapid Z 600 3x9x40

Sremim, I am drawing the same conclusion as you about the vortex. I just don't think that enough people have experience with them to comment. My only problem with the Zeiss is that I want a scope that is in the 12-14x range and the conquest in that power range with the rapid z 600 is almost a grand. I can get the leupold VX-III for 560.00 (non ADJ OBJ) and 580.00 (ADJ OBJ) So for me I think I'm going to go Leupold.
