I'm a new guy here at monstermuley. Never shot anything huge but have managed to take a buck every yearin WA since 14 years old on public land. I got max points for elk: little naches, got drawn for deer in 2002?in the chiwawa unit- shot a deer in the first 3 minutes of hunting on a five day hunt, a perfect 4 by 4 with eyeguards, scored 151 and change, should of held out but with no weather I could't pass it up! sheep-Quilomene moose- Mt. spokane A-my uncle and a good friend got drawn on partner tag and shot 2nd and 4th in state in 2000(rifle)goat-whatever.
my dad has horrible eyesight and never shot a big deer so I've been trying to figure out how to get one on my own. Can't stand seeing the orange lightbulbs on the opener. Last year backpacked in for five days for the high buck hunt. walked 55 miles, passed up shooter 3 points almost everyday and passed up bear everyday. We were so far in we decided not to shoot anything unless it was big. The evening before the opener we watched a 5 by 5(3 of us watched it and we conservativly guess spread at 35 wide by 24 tall) feed in a clearing for half an hour, it got spooked by a very large bear in the same clearing and to top it off there was two 3 pointers in the same clearing (one was nice with at least a 23 inch spread), hunted the big boy for the next 5 days and never saw him again. oh well maybe this year.
sorry to get off the subject but I needed some new ears to bend. I get lonely going to CWU, don't know anybody. If any of you want to see pics of big bulls from central WA taken by myself and family members let me know, I've got a scanner but not the vaugest idea on how to post.
