Oh man. Well, at least he's honest about it. The optics sure are wildly bad.
Everyone knows that there are huge companies in the US and around the world who's business model centers around military systems. During wars, those companies make copious bucks on ramped up production. It is the actual situation.
What I can't figure out is his objective here. Those companies can only sell him stuff with government approval. I suppose he's hoping those companies lobby the government? Dunno...

Ukraine leads the world in the corruption department. Maybe those calling for an audit of U.S. taxpayer funds to Ukraine should be taken seriously? All while our own defense/munitions & war fighting capabilities are depleted for a proxy war that I doubt can be won
