weatherby vangaurd stock upgrade?

I am considering switching from the black synth. stock that came on my vangaurd ( about 15 years old in 7 mm rem. mag.).

The budget ends at about the cost of the medalist from B&C and the hogue with aluminum bedding block.

They have pluses and minus. on both of these.

This is my question.

Which of these is most stable of a bypod attached to the swivel stud on the forend??

Any thoughts on them would be appreciated.

I'd go with the Medalist. There are models with full-length bedding blocks available with B&C also. I just put one on a rifle, and for the price, I think it's a great stock. The "over molded" deal on the Hogue just never appealed to me. mtmuley

I got a blackhawk recoil reduction stock. I can shoot my weatherby vanguard 300 win mag all day with that.

Go with the B&C stock. IMO the hogue isnt much of an upgrade over your current stock.
