Well boys, I finally figured this photobucket thing out! I have been having hell posting anything lately. Anyway, since this site is about big mulies, I figured I'd post my biggest mulie to date. I took this buck on the barren, lunar landscape at Balmorea, TX on the north side of I-10 last year. This ranch is huge, but there are very few deer in this particular area. He was so old that his back teeth were gone. I showed him to a biologist and he guessimated his age at 8 1/2 plus.
Was probably a monster a few years back. G-2's were 17" and 16 1/2". He netted 150" even. Not huge, but a good buck for that part of the country. Now, the other critter is a West TX grizzly!! On the ranch there is a planted field of wheat that the mulies love to come to, and also a few hogs. I took this monster the evening before I took the buck. We hauled him back to San Angelo, gutted, and put him on a cotton gin certified scale. He was 374lbs. That would have put him at around 430- 440lb. live weight. Biggest one I've ever put down!! Hope you enjoy,
