Fixed or Mechanical? To me it depends on the game. I will shoot mechanical for turkey, fixed for everything else. I am shooting replaceable blade broadheads currently, but am thinking of switching to cut-on-contact blades for the winter months (I have a good break between my final archery hunt of the fall and a possible mountain lion hunt in the winter).

Hope that helps. I think discussing kintic energy among compound shooters is pointless. We have enough KE leftover shooting a expandable to equal that of traditional equipment (although they do shoot heavy logs that work amazingly well!)
