Here's pics of a Cali I nicknamed "What If?" Last year he was really long on one side and heavily broomed on the other.

Yesterday, I went for a hike in the fog and was able to find him again. Looks like he just recently broomed his long side.

I just spent an hour feeding my addiction by looking at your photos. Thanks for sharing "what if" with us Mr BCBoy.

Trophy is in the eye of the beholder, period. All beautiful rams. Broomed rams make of for length in their mass measurements. No matter all will look great on your wall. JB

Again great photos. I just made the big bunch and screen saver. I sculpt and if its ok with you am going to put these in my reference file for my next sheep piece...

I actually think broomed rams have a lot more character than clean rams, especially if there are a bunch of chips missing from their horns too. This ram lives just outside a draw unit but could easily travel into the unit. It is one of the hardest draws in BC at 900:1 or greater odds most years. They hand out 2 tags, 1 for a Sept hunt and 1 for a Nov hunt. There is the potential to get a world class Cali with that draw.

That photo of the big bunch with the frosted grass in the foreground is a GREAT photo...really great. You really nailed it with that one.
