This is dumb… buddy of mine has a modest ranch up there and they had one farmer complain a small amount of elk “ruined” his corn… They didn’t do Jack but he got the warden willing to shoot a quarter of said herd at night with thermals and then drive all over the corn to retrieve… hmmm ? also old boy still hasnt cut his corn as of a week or so

I don't see this passing. It is a one off stupid idea. The game and fish is already working to address the issue. The real issue is the landowners are hypocrites. On one hand they claim they need more tags to reduce elk, but they are not allowing enough hunting as it is... Then on the other hand they want to get transferable tags that means $$$$$...

The real issue is there are large land owners who are not allowing hunting and are instead harboring elk. When you live next a ranch with 30,000 acres and no hunting is allowed the elk will harbor and not leave until it is safe...

There will be a path forward but transferable tags will not fly...
