What spotting scope

I remember borrowing a B&L Discoverer spotting scope years ago.It seemed OK but did not use it much.I want to use one for looking at deer from a vehicle window mt and at the range.Is there a $300-400 spotter that can show my bullet grouping at 300 yds ? Also need a xmas present for myself....
