Well since the draw is closed I was wondering what everyone put in for?

Me: Deer 131-134M 1 point
Cow 131R 0 point
Antelope 032-034-035 3 points
California 034 8 points
Rocky 101 6 points
Mtn Goat 101 6 points

Wife: Deer 194-196L 6 points
Bull 131-132E 4 points
Antelope 032-034-035 6 points
California 034 4 points
Desert 252 4 points
Rocky & Mtn Goat points only

I am hoping my wife gets a tag this year since she has never drawn a tag. Good luck to everyone and hopefully the next six weeks will fly by.

Me
Deer: 22L Rifle 3 points
Elk: 11E Rifle 5 points
Antelope: Waiting
Nelson: 243 2 points

Wife
Deer: 22L Rifle 1 point
Elk: 13E Rifle 3 points
Antelope: 111 Rifle 3 points
Nelson: 243 0 points

Im kind of hoping I dont draw much in Nv as I lucked out and drew a Limited Entry elk tag and muzzy deer tag for UT. I too want to see my wife draw something this year. Good luck!

I always put the real long shot units that would be like hitting the lottery as my first choices and work my way down to the units that I expect I can actually draw for my last choices since NV considers all 5 choices before moving to the next application. So it wouldn't really be accurate if I put my choices down because my first choices are not really realistic.

HillbillyNnevada I usually do the same thing. This year I want to hunt and my last choice was for Southern Pershing county. Just hope to get a tag now. I have three points.

I've been talking with a friend of mine about the upcoming draw in NV. With the economy the way it is, especially in vegas, I wonder if that will have much of an effect on people affording to put in this year. Besides my family hunting is what I live for. Im just curious if the folks who arent as passionate about hunting as others will hold off and wait for a while? If so the odds of drawing a tag might bit a LITTLE easier. I guess we shall see. Good luck!

For non-residents I don't think the economy will affect it much. Everyone wants the points. They may PP it or put in for real tough draws but i doubt the number of apps will be down much. Nevada will still get the money.

Wyoming elk was down 20% BUT you can buy a point for $50.00 in June so the NR didn't lose anything by not applying.

Colorado??? Having to front the $$$ may allow a person to draw with less points than last year, we'll see. I personally put 4 people in for deer/elk, all PPs. Nice refund coming. Just too many other irons in the fire to take a chance on drawin a tag I may not be able to do justice to.

Oh yea,

Deer 081 all 3 seasons + NW side
elk All 3 muzzy tags then Jarbridge, then 111-
Sheep (all 3 species) hard draws to the easiest.

Wife basically the same but no muzzy

Time out time on antelope for me.

081 bow-then mzzy-then rifle then my favorite bow buck unit 4th and 033 5th....

Elk pretty much an overlap of the deer....

The 3 sheep as my normal units to apply for....a big stretch to draw any....but!

Points on the '2' goat options...

See ya over in 081-Hunter....

blkdeath

so I'm kinda wondering why you would put 104 and 108 first for bull elk?

ELKOHUNTER

Fewer tags and an excellent report from friends who hunted it last year.

My dad shot a great bull in 077E last year. We did not see the mature bulls that unit consistently produces.

I have a lot of hunting friends and so that greatly influences my choices.

Congratulations on a awesome bull last year!

Yeah on the last cover of Northern Nevada Outdoors magagzine is a picture of a bull killed in that area that scores 368. I know of another bull that was killed during the archery that scores 306. It was always one of my choices.
