Go to the main Forum page and look above the Forums for the word "Search" type in GPS and read the many threads that have been discussed before on this subject.
Depends on what you want out of it. You can get just the basics for about $100, or spend what you like on it. I have the Garmin 60CSx and love it. I agree with Kilowatt about searching the archives for GPS info.
