Whitetail Deer Hunt Idaho

I would like to try and do a whitetail deer hunt this year. I have never hunted whitetails and would like to give it a try. Anybody willing to give me some info on places to hunt or any do's or don'ts from there hunts. Would like to do it public land but willing to pay trespass for private land also.

Northern Idaho units in the pan handle hold better white tail racks.
