I APPLIED, GOT 9 POINTS FOR DEER......NOT SURE WHERE I,M GOING WITH THEM. MIGHT TRY TO DRAW IN 2009, ANY IDEAS WHERE A GUY WILL GET DRAWN (NR/RIFLE) WITH 10 POINTS. THANKS FOR THE HELP....YD.
Did my application on line yesterday. Only 3 points for Elk and Mt Goat but you can't win if you don't play. I also started applying for Elk & Mt Goat for my son who turns 14 in a couple months. He should have a good chance in 30 years when he is my age!!!!! (all I ask in return is that he takes me along, even if I'm too old and have to stay in camp)
The only state except Idaho I don't always apply for is Utah (Stupid) Since they changed, I'll be in every year adding to my measly 3 points. Gonna start my girlfriend for antelope this year too. Guess since I'm spending more that $6 I feel I'm getting something. (Stupid)

Holy cow...residents with points and they are dropping out. That's only $32 for the hunting/fishing license. Only $17 for a small game license. I'm not surprised about non residents but residents surprise me a little.
I strongly considered dropping, since I have only 3 elk and 5 moose points. In the end, I ended up applying. I'd like to give it a year or 2 to see who drops outs and see if UDOW desides to change management strategies in a few units (more tags).
I have been applying myself and four others, all of whom are nonresidents.
We all have 3 points for elk. I am the only one willing to spend the $75 to apply. I just hope I don't invest this for the next three or four years just to see the fees go up to $175 similar to AZ which I am backing out of. I should count on it though.
