That VA Tech shooting was horrible, but I'll bet some politician jumps on this and says its a gun issue and trys to legislate new gun bans. . . I hope i'm wrong, but we'll see.

I was watching FOX news and at the white house press conf reporters were already asking about more gun control.

Last time I checked killing people was already illegal.

According to reports the shooter was using two 9MM's with high copasity clips and then reloading with extra clips that he was carring.

The law makers are going to be comming down hard on the handgun issue for awhile. They were saying that anyone could get one in Virginia as long as they had a valid Drivers Licencs.

I am sure that there will be some new laws trying to be passed in not to long.

Yes, everything in moderation. I like gun laws that keep known felons from having them, so not all gun laws are bad. It's very complex, I'll explain later.

first, some gun control is in order - but the good thing is we have what we need, we dont really need more.

The NRA has lost touch. It needs reformed. I gave up my membership about two years ago.

The point is that in the VA Tech shooting, gun laws would not have changed anything about what happend there, so why make more gun laws if for no other reason than to make political hay?

I almost forgot, the risk of lumping all who dont agree with your views into one group - Liberals - is that 100% of the time you'll be wrong. . .

I read a 9mm and a .22 handgun....but who really knows yet. No gun law can keep someone like this from doing what they do. Criminals are criminals. You can lock all your doors at night, but if someone wants to get into your house bad enough and steal your stuff they will find a way to break in. Just my .02

To answer you on this thread, a DEMOCRATE will be the first to do it. Wheather they have success now that is hard to guess, but they will try again as always.

More laws won't work and until they enforce the ones they have now, it will never work to rid the "idiots" of this type of crap.
Now the shooter is a D.P.O.S. and will probably never know what triggered him to do this and there at that school.

Seems I read somewhere this is the 2nd time in a short period that they had shootings there, is this right?

Also there are other stories about High Capacity clips being the culprit. Nothing about the shooter.

I cannot believe that 32 people could be killed by a single person shooting them execution style? TRAGIC beyond words.

They may have a "D" or an "R" that they hide behind.
To me they are socialists and communists!!

They believe the Constitution says whatever they want it to say at any given point in time.

They are the ones that "KNOW" what is best for you and me!

They are the ones that vote for extra constitutional spending.

At the Federal and State level.

They are the ones that force us "At gun point" if need be into social security while exempting themselves!

Actually I believe there are several of them that need to be indicted and prosecuted for violating their oath of office.

I am sure that some staffer somewhere has spent all day preparing a draft for their Congressman/woman proposing a ban on all handguns and semi-automatic weapons. Maybe while they are at it too they will tack on a provision that bans all locks and chains too. They did as much damage as the gunfire did IMO. Poor kids couldn't even escape.

Once they do that, the only thing that people who want to kill will have left will be homemade incendiary devices. Oh yeah, and I forgot knives and axes.

This is a very sad day.
