Will 4th hunt hurt?

My favorite hunt in the world has to be late December Coues near Tucson. Last year the dept added another hunt and more permits in alot of southern units. I guess to raise more revenue or oppertunity as they call it? Im wondering how much this will effect the quality? It bummed me out so I didnt apply there last year. What does everyone think are the southern units worth burning points on? BH1

Did you go to the recent input meeting about 2 weeks ago at the Tucson office where you could get harvest and population survey data and possibly speak with the regional unit wildlife managers and biologist? I wonder how the four hunts with reduced permits for each individual hunt affected the total coues harvest.

The meeting is Flagstaff was only attended by 4 hunters, but was a good chance to get information and give input.

Unfortunately I didnt make that one. Five kids and a 70 hr work week seem to get in the way sometimes. 850 miles away doesnt help either. But I do E -mail and landline wildlife folks who for the most part are very helpful. Non-resi input usually has little say on policy decisions, especially in Arizona..... but back to the question, are the late Dec coues hunts what they once were? Thanx, BH1
