Willamette Unit Question - Antlerless

Hi Everyone,

Pulled an antlerless tag for the Willamette unit as my family had access to farmlands which made it a great opportunity to get my little guy out for some day hunts. Unfortunately that property sold post pulling the tag and we've been striking out.

Anyone have any luck with public lands in Unit 15 for deer? Looking for any suggestions.

I've hunted the Willamette river out of Harrisburg and Peoria, but you will need to float the river.

Public lands are super few and far between unless you're floating a river. There's private timber company land that you can hike into. Onx is your best friend. Find land owned by timber companies then go to their website to see if they allow access to hunt. Good luck!

Some public in the north end, not sure about access. Some timber company land far north and far south, you’d have to check with them about access.

I’d also contact any large nursery’s, some of them get deer damage and may allow access. A call to the ODFW may get you a lead. Good luck.
