I am shooting a Knight disc, I am using 150 grains Pyrodex, 300 grain HP/XTP hornady 44 cal. bullet. I shot at a deer last night and hit behind him. He was at 240 yards and the wind was about 15 mph. Does the wind effect a muzzle loader bullet that much?

Are you serious? Good lord of course it does... computing it on PointBlank shows 30" of drift at 250 yards w/ 15mph wind.

It dumbfounds me how many people attempt long range shots without understanding the mechanics involved. Even if you had a 150 yard zero its still over 21" low at @250 yards.

Not to kill you worse than the guy before but dude that was a hail mary of a shot for you and ML. I shot a deer last season with a bad wind across me and the bullet hit him in the ass"mexican heart shot" Didn't know how much wind can kill your bullets path.ML takes some time to get it right and I bet you will pass on that shot next time.
