Made it out yesterday with a buddy/fellow MM'er for a "wolf hunt." It's hard to stay motivated looking for an animal that I've never seen before, but we gave it our best shot before the season closes Sunday. It turned into more of a shed hunting/photography trip, but a great day none the less.
We stayed out all day, found a little bit of fresh sign, and lots of old sign. I felt like an old man by the time we started the hike out. It's amazing how quickly the legs acclimatize to the rigors of sitting on the couch all winter.
Also, those who we shall not name missed a coyote at 200 yards...
Saw 1500+ Elk, very encouraging for the this area.
Between the gang signs and poor shooting, you'd think this was some kind of mentoring program for my buddy lol.
