No the other cops did not have to be in on it. Chauvin was the senior officer and two of the other cops were rookies that were afraid to counter the senior officer on his conduct.

What Chauvin did was stupid and the justice system will deal with it. Floyd was a convicted felon served serious time . He was also on meth, fentanyl and also had corona virus at the time of his death. Did not deserve to be killed by this cop. But perspective, 9 unarmed black citizens were killed by police last year, 45 white out of 11 million police interactions. A police officer is 18x's more likely to be shot by a black perpetrator than a white one. The stats on these situations have been trending down the last 3.5 years. This is not about racism it is about removing Trump and fundamentally changing the U.S.....and not as founded.... and not for the better.

I doubt they knew each other that long but there's something to this mess that doesn't add up. He's guilty no question but the defense only has to create doubt and if he was following procedure and they'll use some other little ploys to show Floyd wasn't a choir boy.

2nd degree is easier to prove. So here's a couple of hypothetical's what if Floyd was sleeping with Chauvin's wife or Chauvin was on the take as a cop could flip things either way. There's some underlying reason we don't know about this. It's a crap shoot but it's obvious Chauvin was guilty.

Remember OJ got off because a golf glove didn't fit but the prosecution didn't reveal bodily fluids and sweat will shrink any golf glove....Instead they had him try it on and used the if it doesn't fit you must acquit angle..........and it worked......reasonable doubt and he won! Anything can happen in a court room and very often it does and criminals walk.

There is a news report that Chauvin and Floyd worked for the same business as bouncers for quiet a few years and did know each other. One of the other security guards has stated that they knew each other and also had had several run ins over Chauvin being too aggressive as a bouncer.
Beginning to look as there was a personal vendetta there if that security officer is telling the truth.

Hence the bodily fluid comment above on the DNA ......just showing how things get in a supposed air tight case when it gets to court....proving things is a lot harder than charging them and convincing 12 people is a lot harder then we think.......even with a video once witnesses start answering questions and they get one that's not sure in his expert opinion.......then the trail really begins.
