Has anybody here hunting this area before?

We have a group of five going in mid-September. We're taking three 20 year olds for their first out West Big Game Hunt and want to try and make is a great hunting memory for them (and us).

We'll be towing cargo trailers to camp out, of with SXS's, and camping on BLM land.

If anybody has any helpful advice to share it would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to PM if you want.

Thank you in advance.

I've hunted antelope in area 69 several years. Great area with some heavy horned antelope. You would be better off driving around in a pickup looking like a rancher than with SXS's which the antelope are not used to. Concentrate on the southwest and central part of the unit. People camp west of Dry Creek road in the first bluffs you come to heading north off the highway, plenty of room for everyone. Good area, you will see plenty.

The reason you want to camp there is if there is a big rain or snow, you could get out with your trailers. The roads can be bad when wet.
