Here are some pics of our trip to Region D in Wyoming this year. We saw a lot of goats and a lot of deer. The weather was a little warm but the deer were still moving.
Here's a pic of my 13 inch goat.
Here's a pic of my deer. He measured 22 wide x 15 tall....barely missed out on making the book!! HaHa
Here's another of my buck...
Here's my Dads buck...shot less than 100 yards from where I put mine down one day later...
My Dad also shot a 15 1/2 inch goat but I didn't have my camera with me. I'll have to post them when he sends me his pics. We had a great hunt and it makes it so much sweeter that I have another hunting memory with my Dad. We take for granted that our hunting partners will be around forever...but that is not the case. During the middle of this trip, my Dads back started acting up. It was really a bummer. He didn't complain...but I knew it was bugging him. My Dad taught me how to hunt and I'm realistic when I say we'll probably only have 10-15 more years to hunt together. He's 64 now and can't go forever. Hell, I've slowed down a bit and I'm only 37!! Enjoy your hunting partners and don't take it for granted that you'll always hunt with them next year.
