LAST EDITED ON Apr-05-12 AT 05:55AM (MST)[p]i was reasing my local paper today and there will be a total of 52 wolves shot; a total of 12 areas. not enough but i guess its a start. it also stated the season will start oct.1 and a resident tag will cost $18.

and you have to report a wolf kill in 24 hours.

I should have a Moose tag this year in Unit #5. I'm excited I might be hunting wolves at the same time. Hala lula pass the biscuits.

I've heard that outside the 12 units in the NW corner there is no closed season or limit or tag required. I haven't found anything in the regs that say the details, but I did see they estimate 27 wolves live outside the NW trophy zones.

Hold your horses fellas. They haven't been officially delisted yet. Final rule is expected in Sept.

While ya'll are waiting for the final rule, I'll be hunting wolves in Idaho this spring and fall.
