I was really suprised at the lack of attention as well. Maybe because it happened over the weekend and they couldn't confirm it was a grizzly that killed him until after the autopsy?

It barely made the news at all.

one person gets killed, bear gets to live

another person gets charged and throws his pack down and the bear eats it. they catch the bear and kill him.

now this 3rd hiker gets killed. so are they going to let the bear live or die.

seems to me that first attack couple months ago that the bear should of been trapt and killed.

then up in meetsee a bear kills a horse and they want to trap it and relocate. well in a few days that bear will be back on the ranch.

On this latest deal the plan is to try to trap it and confirm by DNA that it is the right bear (they have hair samples from the attack site). They'll then kill it. We'll see if they pull off trapping it.
