Finally some of these officials are starting to remember that they take an oath of office and that oath of office swears allegiance to the US constitution. Here is the Washington Governor's oath since he forgot.
" I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution and laws of the state of Washington, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of (name of office) to the best of my ability. "
Do yall remember that idiot governor in New Jersey who said he doesn't even think about the US constitution when making his orders and that that stuff is "above his pay grade"? Here is the New Jersey Governor's oath of office.
"I , do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of New Jersey against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and of the Governor of the State of New Jersey; that I make this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office of in the upon which I am about to enter, so help me God."
Give this sheriff a medal. Wish there were more like him. Good honest men that can hold fast to their ideals.
