There is a popular shooting spot near Payson Utah.
I have been there 3 times this week filming and taking photos of people shooting TVs, a dryer, and all kinds of other junk...That is OK.
I did watch most of them leave the items behind. I even found boxes with shipping labels on them.
Well, today I turned it all over to the Police. They were quite excited to have it.
They said it will be easy to now give out $500 littering tickets.
Stop leaving your crap. Idiots.
I hope this will help stop this type of slob behavior.

And the easiest way to get out of this is "I threw that box away weeks ago... the landfill is literally RIGHT there. It's very possible that the box blew out of the land fill, cuz the wind is always blowing there, someone found it and shot it. Wasn't us officer."

Case closed. Can't prove either way unless you have extremely clear photos with license plates to correctly identify the trashy people. Trust me, I've played this game a lot. I live less than 1 mile from there and tried to bust people for years. Unless you have a sheriff on site when the people leave without picking up their garbage, nothing will be done about it. Plus, it's more of a BLM issue than a cop issue.

I'm still curious about the moron that hauled all the blue 55 gallon drum barrels up there and left them in random spots. Why...!?!

Love it! I don't even like to go to popular shooting places anymore because of this. I have my own spots my family uses and we pick up everything. We even pick up trash we didn't bring. Teaching my kids right as I'm sure most here do. Even going camping trash everywhere.

Maybe this will help and the word might spread a little that their poor behavior is under scrutiny.

I shoot at a private range and I'm still perplexed by all the crap guys leave. This is one reason the lock combination is changed frequently nowadays.

Get em, I've turned several people in and about half of them have been charged. Even more often I've loaded their crap up and taken it to the dump myself. I can't stand trigger trash, litter bugs, and scumbags.

When I was a kid, I would find trash dumped in the fields and woods near my house. I was collected aluminum cans and "returnable" bottles anyway, so I went through the trash and often found envelopes with addresses. I would scoop the whole pile o' crap up in a wheel barrow and dump in their yard, porch, etc. in the middle of the night. Of course, I had a lot more time back then. As I recall, a family named "Cash" received several visits, but eventually they figured it out and got with the program.

Back when I did my Eagle Scout project, I cleaned the Weber Wildlife Federation range in Avon. We loaded two 30,000 gvw container trucks full of rubbish.

You can't get people to chip in the menial permit fee for up keep to shoot at places, then to add insult to injury they trash it. Then when they gate it and patrol for permits, the idiots just move up into the public lands and destroy that.

Slobs like this in the outdoors do far more damage to outdoorsmen than Sierra Club et al could ever do for getting public land locked up and restricted.

Go out in the marsh and look at all the fools who are too fn lazy to pick up shot shell empties. Absolute insanity the lack of respect and responsibility so many grown men exude.
