Here is a giant deer my buddies son shot in Pecos for the youth hunt. He scores 197 4/8. It will be tough to beat this one. Look at that smile!!

Thats a great buck! We were there a couple weeks back to pick pinion and up towards Barrias maybe a 2 miles from the intersection and saw a real nice 4x4 maybe 22-24 inches wide but was also just real heavy.It's a little secret deer area but still just too much poaching by a few locals....

Congrats to the hunter! That is an awesome buck for the Pecos. Any idea of the area? It looks like it is much lower elevation, in an arroyo with juniper in the background. Was it in East Pecos towards Cow Creek or up on Rowe Mesa? Just curious....Congrats again!
