Youth pref pts

My son turned 11 in June. Can I purchase pref pts for him to get him started in upcoming antelope seasons after he becomes 12? Searched WY site and couldn't come up with it very quick.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-30-15 AT 08:51PM (MST)[p]Nope, even though he's 11 the requirement says he has to be 12 by Dec 31 of the first year he applies for a point. This is from page 11 of the application booklet:

A youth applicant wanting to purchase preference points only must be at least eleven (11) years old at the time of submitting an application and must be at least twelve (12) years old by December 31 of that year.
