We use the two burner, but the single would work fine. We have used literally ice water to start out with and it works awesome. Forget about having to go many days with out a shower. This thing goes with the stove and tent on the first trip in. You can't run ice water with out cycling it for a little, but luke warm or 70 degree water will scald if you run two burners. A single would be fine, but the two burner is almost the same size. Have used it for 3-4 showers every two days, and the batteries lasted 10 days with no change at all. Third thing to buy after your canvas tent and quality wood stove.

We also use the two burner, started with the single but camp is about 8,000 ft and the single wouldn't heat up very well without re-circulating. Two burner will scald you if you are not careful and the batteries seem to last forever. Best money I have ever spent nothing like a nice hot shower after a long hard day of hunting. If you don't have one you are missing out.
