I believe if you will search the post you will find quite a bit of help on the SJ elk--look at previous years as well, there is some good advice on there. Another thing to look at is a guy named Chad I believe he goes by bbmhtr here on MM. I know he has helpd guys in the past at no charge i think.

I met a guy on here last year who had the same NV elk tag as me. We actually hooked up in NV. His name was Claude, don't remember his MM name. Anyways, he had the SJ Muzzy tag last year. If you PM me, I can probably get his handle from saved PMs. He was a good guy, and he did well on his hunt.
Hard to find Outfitters like the Blacks.....willing to talk to you and answer any general questions about the area they make a living guiding paying clients in. All the Black boys are great guys, honest and up front......hard to find these days!

+1 mulemanrack. Blacks are straight up, nice guys who give away a lot of intellectual property and still produce awesome bulls for their clients. If you decide to go guided, they will give you the hunt of a lifetime.
