I will never forget the summer/fall 2010, my dad was fortunate enough to draw a utah premium muzzleoader bull elk tag with 15pts. knowing this is almost a once in a lifetime opportunity we took advantage of it a ton of pre season scouting, trail cameras covering the entire mountain (inserted is a pic of a bull we got on camera. 2 days before the hunt he snapped his left main beam behind his 4th and broke his 3rd and 5th off on his right side). miles and miles on my 4 wheeler and on foot, we had found several bulls we considered shooters. Once the hunt got here our shooters were either busted terribly or already been shot, needless to say we were a little nervous come opening day. evening of the opening day we found ourselves 30 yards from a bedded bull who was the most perfect 6x6 i have ever seen this bull would have topped the 380 mark, but we were unable to close the deal on this bull, the next day we were all very down regarding the circimstances from the previous day, day 3 approached and found us in the same area we found the big 6, early that morning we were able to spot a big 7x7 about 2 miles away and decided to go after him, to make a long story short, WE GOT HIM! congrats DAD and thanks for the memories and a special thanks to my brother in law Dale for helping us out so much on this hunt and showing us some amazing country!
