Hi everyone, so I don't want to be that guy but it looks like I am due to the limited amount of time I have to get ready for this hunt. I drew the book cliffs bitter creek south archery tag after 12 years of applying in Utah. Excited is an understatement! I am turning over every leaf I can to find out any information I can about the unit. I have already poured over maps and called biologists, previous tag holders, and am talking to anyone who might have experience there. I am in Washington state and am going to try to make a quick trip down there this summer to scout. I realize that this is probably a once in a lifetime tag for me as I am sure that it will be another 20 years before I would draw again and that would put me in my early 60's which I will be still hunting but not nearly as hard as I can now. I have been bowhunting elk for 25 years and have done well. Never have hunted Utah, its always been a dream until now! I realize that there are a lot of guys on this site that have hunted Utah for elk and that is why I am posting. I am a do it yourself kind of guy and have been building up my equipment for the past few years in anticipation of drawing out in Utah; wall tent and everything for it, new pack, etc. Any help would be very appreciated. Never posted on a forum before and I hate to be that guy who comes on and asks for help first time out but my time is limited before I try and head down to scout so trying to gather as much info before I leave as possible. Thanks
