I got up at 3:00 this morning so I would have enough time to hike in to one of my favorite elk spots. My plan was to be in position with the camera set up before the elk started feeding in my direction. Everything went perfectly until I went to turn on my camera! My battery was dead! I was extremely disappointed, as the elk fed to within 40 yards of me! The footage could have been awesome. I did manage to take some pics and video holding my cellphone up to my binos though.
