Co Area 70

I am thinking about applying in this unit for Mule Deer this year because with my 2 preference points, I stand a chance of being drawn. I've never been in the unit before. Does anyone know anything about it? Is there alot of public land available to hunt? What are the chances of finding a good buck there? If 70 isn't a good idea, any ideas on any better units that I could draw with 2 points?

I am putting in for the same unit, I don't any thing about the unit either. I am going two days earlier, if I get drawn, & stay the whole season. Always fun when you never been there. Mike

Hunted 60 2 years ago and driving to the southern part of 60, we cut through 70. Saw more deer along the road in 15 miles than in 7 days of hunting 60. Saw a doe run across the highway in front of us. We slowed down and I looked up hill and there was a 24" 4x4 about 40 yards off of the highway following her, full rut. I thought "If I can see 24" 4x4's 40 yards from the paved highway, whats in those junipers?" Good luck guys. Some drew with 1 point last year so you should be alright except for HF has 70 listed this year. Whoops!
