I went out there with some family members and these are the bucks that were taken. This was my grandpa, uncle, and cousin. Three generations. . .kinda cool. With Grandpa hunting, most of our hunting was on the road, near Atchee and Wolf Den, but once he got his deer we tried to spend some more time hiking in other areas. The quality of deer we saw definitely went up as we got further from the truck, but unfortunately we werent able to connect. My cousin was looking to shoot his first and got a little nervous during the shots and ended up missing a few. He did make a great shot on the 3 point that dropped it in his tracks. As far as three points go, I think its a sweet buck. Despite seeing all the 3x4's and willow horns, Ill keep putting in for the unit . . . though next time Ill spend more time on my feet.

Looks like you had a great time! Thanks for sharing! Just curious, did you put in for the hunt as a group and how many points did you have?

Nice bucks, reminds me of the good ol days with lots of bucks at camp.

Here's one as well.

A good friend Jerry from CA--who has got to be one of the luckiest folks for drawing UT tags that I know. In the past 6 years he has drawn 2 mule deer and 1 elk tag.

Thats a great buck!

They put in as a group, and I think they had around 8 points. I drew in 2002 with 3 points and again in 2005 with the doughnut. I fully expect to draw next year with 1 lol.

That is a nice buck. I remember meeting Jerry I think it was two years ago in Rangely. He or maybe both of you filmed probably the largest body deer I have ever seen.

Congrats on all three deer. That is great to get your grandfather out hunting still with the younger generation. The book Cliff hunt is a fun hunt with lots of bucks seen. Lots like you seen and a few good ones around. Happy hunting.

Great bucks! Good to see that your GrandDad was able to get on out, all of these are great deer. The Book Cliffs are thriving, and it's fun to see the caliber of deer out there. Great post.
