hey everyone, i just wanted to share my success i had while hunting utah's extended archery. I got this buck on october 17th. this is my first year hunting this area, but i put alot of time in scouting, and it finally paid off! I spotted him bedded down beneath a cliff with a few smaller bucks. after a long stalk and a little bit of luck i was within range. i shot him at 49 yards, but the terrain was so steep i actually shot him for 42 yards.. I couldn't be happier!

The traditional UT rifle season and pre-rut to boot! No easy task. Congratulations on a major accomplishment. I hope to do the same in the next couple of weeks.

TOAD MAN! Congrats on a tough deer in a tougher location! Not many mature deer go down up there before the rut. You definitely earned him up there.

Did you score him? He's EASILY Pope and Young. I'd guess he's around 175-180+" Thanks for the background in the pics--I know where you hunt now I know where I'll be this weekend!!!!J/K LOL

no, i haven't scored him yet, i'll get the tape on him soon and let you know. does anybody else know what my buck might score?

Pretty buck. Pretty country. Pretty sure I know where I'm hunting now. Just kidding- that is an awesome buck and it looks like you worked really hard for him. Congrats!

Congrats on a great "WasatchFrontMuley"!! Public land, OTC, No guides, No BS just STRAIGHT UP hunting like It was meant to be, doesn't get much better than that!!!!!!!! Fifteen years Archery only (except for one year) this Is the results you get.

Congrats on a great buck!!!Pretty rewarding to take a buck like that up in the the high/ steep/ rough stuff. No doubt you earned it and closed the deal! Congrats!!!! and Thanks for sharing. Kip

Congrats on a GREAT wasatch typical. They don't get much prettier than that. This is a perfect example of a perfect hunt. In my oppinion you did it the right way and scored on a buck anyone would love to have with a bow. Whenever a buck like that goes down on the wasatch you have to be not only excited but also in a sense relieved that it is over and all your hard work FINALLY paid off. Many of us know what an accomplishment this is so once again congrats to you on a great deer.

That's 2 sweet bucks in 1 year Justin! Great job man! You hunt hard and deserve both of them and I'm glad to see you rewarded for your efforts.

Congratulations on such a great buck! He looks great. Very symetrical. Love the high country backdrop. Wow, memories! (I think you know what i mean.)

Protect your honey hole and you'll have it for years to come.

See you on the hill!
