Pauns deer

I was down on the pauns the last few days turkey hunting. While out and about, I say a few very nice bucks that already had some great growth. The biggest was about a 25 inch 4x4. Another that was going straight out past his years and had eye guard nubs. He was just starting to turn up. He had a big body.

Oh, by the way, we got our turkey. IT WAS A BLAST. We had been skunked on two stands that we had set up on. Talked to few guys. They had not seen a thing. They were looking for bears. talked for about 1 hour, and headed up the road about 10 am. Not 200 yards down the road, several jakes and toms gobbled as we went through some trees just off the road. So we stopped, called and they came gobbling. Tucked behind the trees ajust off the road and they came running right to us with each call. One SHOT, Thats ALL! IT WAS FUN. A good tom. about a 9 inch beard and a good fan.

Yeah I would have to agree on the cactus part because he would be a new world record by the end of the summer if he had that much growth on him by now.

I would agree a stag or cactus. I was there last weekend filling my turkey tag and saw alt of deer with antler growth and nothing more than 4 to 5 inches. Has to be one that does not loose velvet or antlers. on_target

I thought it was going to be a cactus buk for sure, but it did have two knobs at the and of each fork. I STOPPED AND WATCHED for a few minutes. My friend that was with me that is a taxiderist thought the same at first, but it was a good looking buck.
