This is a buck my friend killed in Wyoming in 1978. He just had it officially scored by Boone and Crockett. Looking for the net nontypical score, the score used to determine eligibility for entry. I'll post the number in a few days.

It's written in the good Book that we'll never be asked to take more than we can. Sounds like a good plan, so bring it on!

Was it Scored by just a regular B&C Measurer?

Or by the Official KALI B&C Scorer that Pisses People off every time He Scores/Measures a Buck?

I think that skinny neck will throw off some scores.
I know it throwing my idea of what he scores off.

Lots of deductions on the Net for the main frame I think.

I'd say it gonna be 216" Net Non-typical...

180 ish frame and 70 inches of extras. 249-253 gross ?

Ok, here we go.

The submitted score (it won't be official until B&C accepts it) is:

239 2/8

I don't have the score sheet in front of me but the main frame is about 172 with about 67 inches of extras.

Lots of close guesses and I think Homer was the closest.

Very Nice Eel, Thanks for doing this!

So maybe i now have a better system of judging score on bucks with lots of extras. Figure net main Frame, add in the inches of extras that you can see,.. and add 10 points on top of that fer drill. It would have worked for me this time anyway... :)

It's pretty hard to score a buck from a photo on the internet.

I was a little surprised that the main frame was only 172 but the main beams are pretty weak. Only about 19 or 20".

Thanks for playing along.

I was thinking a 180-185 frame and about 50 inches of extras. I overestimated the frame and underestimated the extras.

So I'm assuming that's the net? What did the buck gross?

LAST EDITED ON May-10-15 AT 06:45PM (MST)[p]If I remember right the gross score was right around 181, but don't quote me on that. That would be about 248 gross.

Me to. I guessed a bit larger frame and less extras. I really was thinking 235 tops. But 230 was in the cards. Hell of a buck. Does he want to sell it? I hear thru the grapevine that Buzz H and Piper are willing to donate $5.00 for this average mule deer.

Awesome, thanks eel. Just making sure I wasn't of as much as I thought!
