Colorado Unit 2

I plan on scouting Colorado Unit 2 this summer as I am a lock to draw archery elk so I am hoping to get some starting points from anybody with experience in the area. I would hate to waste precious weekend scouting trips trying to get oriented. Any info will be greatly appreciated. GDP

I'll be up to 8 points but wonder if I'll ever catch up. How many points did you guys have to draw? How was the overall quality of bulls? I have a 330" and 336" and am wondering what my chances were of topping these if I ever draw.

I drew with 14 points. Got a 348" bull. 2 is a really great zone, I saw one bigger than mine and heard of a 383" that was harvested. With 8 points you are still many years away under the current system.

Ya I'll probably die before I catch up. May end up burning points in 61 or 76. Just stacking points for the future. I know a unit in NM I can hunt have a chance at a 350 in archery almost every year. All the waiting and applying for an extra 10 or 20 P&Y points seems really unproductive.
