I'm looking at hunting SW Montana for elk. Any thoughts on the Tobacco Root MTNs (333,320) area? A friend lives in this area and I was possibly going to stay there during the hunt. Also, can a guy hunt the area effectivly (and pack out) without a horse? Thanks, this site has been really helpful.
