Roosevelt Strategies

I was wondering if all those roosevelt veterans out there can share some general strategies with me that you have found successfull hunting the thick forests of the west coast. I will be hunting in oregon this archery season and am used to hunting the rocky mountain elk in Az, so some help with this new game would be great.

Angry Spike Productions puts out a roosevelt video that I watched last week. For less than $15, might be a good place to start. I'll be hunting roosies for the first time this year as well, so the video was good to get a feeling for what it's like. They bugled to locate bulls, then stalked/called and used the wind from there. Obviously the terrain is different, but otherwise seems pretty similar to rocky mountain elk hunting. The one big difference I saw was that the bugles are different - shorter and squeeky, not the big throaty roars of RM elk.
