Jeebus thats cool! I particularly love the bobcat making a grab for the ruffed grouse.

How do you get the dust off the mounts? Just curious as I gotta give a few of mine a good cleaning soon...

It is kinda scary gettin up there to clean!
I have 18ft ceilings in that room.
We have our Christmas Tree in the front of the room and it is covering up several of my mounts.
(The wife still has some clout in my room!)

LAST EDITED ON Jan-05-05 AT 06:14PM (MST)[p]Maybe a dump question, how did you get your walls that high? Are there two studs one on top of another?

WB

Outstanding! Lots of claws and canines in yours. Very nice, Harry.

Ben-You use 18' foot 2x6's and cut them to stud length(3 3/8" shorter than overall wall height) and block the middle for a firestop and sheer strength. Then stand it with a crane or a bunch of badasses. Stacking walls allows a hinge point in the middle instead of continuous members(He said member)

Dallan thats a lynx.

What stud spacing? 18ft 2x6's sounds expensive :(
I have a hard time finding straight 8ft boards here!

Don't follow this?

Harry, where did you get that one with the red eyes and red shirt? He's a nice one. :)

Very cool museum, I mean den.

HH,

Great looking house and great looking mounts. Had a question on what you used to hang your animals. We have a big mule deer mount we are trying to hang up high like that since we have walls similar to yours and its a real pain. If you could tell me how you did it i would be very appreciative.

thank you
Garrett

Nice placve Harry. And some good looking mounts too. I like, the bob and sheep combo myself.

Harry, you da man! I also like that cat/sheep mount. It is next to impossible to find a taxidermist that can do a cat mount and make it look real and not dried out and stretched, but you did. That is why I havent had any of my cats done, the guys around here do great work on deer etc, but suck at cats and bears. Good job man.

Wyoming ben you should hire a contractor. Or you could do it yourself, then you will only have your self to blame.
And quit talking about one stud on top of the other stud. Thats just gross.
That reminds me!! Do you guys know how to build a lesbian house? ............. No studs, its all tongue and groove.

Now thats a trophy room! I hope to take half of those animals in my life. Thanks for posting!

I second what Boman said! Wow, for impressive.
Congratulations HH and thanks for posting.
Aawwwhhh.........h*ll, I can't resist.........I wish I had your MONEY!!! :)

Thanks for all the kind remarks guys!
I know lots of guys have more and bigger trophies than mine.
What I have, took about 20 years to get, it didn't happen overnight.
I pinched and saved and busted ass to get what I have, Hell My wife and I slept in an Outfitter's tent for a couple months just before we got our house.
My Brown Bear hunt was about 1/6 of my yearly income!
I was brown baggin' it for a long time to pull that one off!
If you ain't born rich, you gotta make sacrafices to afford to play the game.
If I can do it, any of you guy's can too!
Just don't loose sight of your goals.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-06-05 AT 09:53AM (MST)[p]Cool trophy room HH. Thats a pretty awesome variety of great mounts in there! You can definately see what your priorities are.

Now thats a collection.....anybody else got one they wanna show.......I LIKE!.......

AWESOME harry, I have some critters to hang but I need that 18ft high room! Elk chest 1ft off the floor just doesn't look right! LMAO My dream room for sure.

Thats a really amazing trophy room.
Just curious whats the whitey in the second picture score? looks like a booner to me.

Harry, Great room!!! Was the sheep skull a pickup? That mount is awesome!!!
Jared

What really makes it a great trophy room is that 160+ whitetail. There are many trophy rooms that lack that class of whitetail. Thanks for sharing.
