daughter's first bull

My daughters first bull. She was fifteen. The temp was well below zero and it was trying to snow. Three shots letter the screaming began.

Like most great elk stories this one began with her beating the odds and drawing a difficult tag. We were hunting near Gardiner MT. We had been walking an hour before finding her dream bull. Its not a very high scoring bull, 338. He was old and had probably lost some antler lenght. It is however 50 inches wide. Yes we did it get mounted, and have just hung it in the living room. Her and I are estatic, her mother not so much. ha Now, finding her that muley!!!

I bet 95% of people on this site (myself included) have never shot a 338 bull or bigger. Great looking bull and congrat's to your daughter.

woodruff, thanks for pointing that out. I've been trying to make that point about big bulls for a long time. Most guys will never have the opportunity to shoot a bull that big.
