Chuck, Here is the picture of your Grandfathers Buck, a good old time classic B&W and a Big Muley. Congrats to your GD.

Either your Grampa was a midget or that buck is 34" on the outside! Thanks for this pic, makes you wonder what ever happened to alot of these big racks.

Here is a buck that my grandfather took after he got back from WWII (1946 or 47).

Here is a buck that was killed this past fall (2004) in the same canyon. It is interesting to see that the genetics are still in the area after almost 60 years. These were both public land bucks.

It is remarkable how similar those last two look with so many years between them.

Thanks for posting these great old pics.

Droptine,
I remember that 1st pic from Utah Biggest Bucks, I wish I could put a yardstick between my deers rack and have it come up short (instead of a ruler)

Nice pics. It's nice to have the Hunting Heritage still passed on down the generations.

If you know where this rack is you should have it scored. Hard to tell from the pic if the main beams might be a tad short but the rest is long and symetrical with only deduct looks like the kicker off the left side.
A keeper buck for anyone.

Well a classic old timer tale to the antlers from this buck before my grandpa passed away he filled me in on the details he shot the buck .... hung the antlers in a tree never to return.........I would love to have them now . what do you guys think this buck would score

thats a crazy mask that guy is wearing in the last picture, do you think he is Talaban.

Posted this picture back about three years ago, no big Monsters but then back when this picture was taken I thought it was. These three bucks along with another one were all taken within 1/2 hour opening morning in Sept. 1945 Yes, 60 years ago in Nevada County, Ca.
